TR Legacy Upgrade Planning Without Invented Multipliers

An upgrade is useful when it improves the result you care about at a cost you accept. Public sources do not currently expose a dependable upgrade formula, so the plan must start with observations.

Choose one outcome

Select one target:

• reduce average route time;
• reduce resets across three runs;
• improve a visible speed or handling value;
• meet a visible level or access requirement;
• improve observed RM per minute.

Do not combine every target into one score. A collection purchase and a route purchase can both be valid, but they answer different questions.

Capture the baseline

Record the current motorcycle, upgrade state, displayed balance, route, transmission mode, and checked date. Run the route three times.

The public developer listing confirms the transmission keys and group cash claim, but it does not provide the missing rates.

Enter the target scenario

Open the RM and Upgrade Scenario and enter:

• current RM;
• target displayed cost;
• any confirmed resale credit;
• observed RM per run;
• minutes per run;
• expected or measured post-upgrade RM per run.

The tool calculates runs to goal, time to goal, remaining balance, and a payback comparison. Every output is labeled Scenario or Estimate. No default price, resale fraction, group multiplier, or upgrade gain is preloaded.

Test after purchase

Repeat the baseline route without changing another variable. Keep the same controls and reset rules. Compare the median time and observed RM per minute across the three runs.

If the result does not improve, check whether the purchase targeted the wrong route, the control setup changed, or the target value was hypothetical. Do not rewrite the scenario as a game guarantee.

Record version context

The official description says “Shutdown = Update.” After a shutdown, repeat one baseline. Archive the previous result if rewards, handling, access, or garage values changed.

Stop conditions

Pause the upgrade decision when the current price is not visible, the target is unavailable, the route cannot be repeated, or the purchase depends on an unverified future code. Waiting for better evidence is a valid outcome.
